Justine Darling
Diabetes Educator
Justine Darling is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Credentialled Diabetes Educator with 30+ years’ experience working in the public and private health sectors.
At present she is the Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist at The Royal Hospital for women in Sydney. Where she is responsible for providing clinical management, psychological support and education to a wide range of people with diabetes. Her passion and specialty is Diabetes in pregnancy and PCOS where she frequently attends nationally and internationally conferences in these areas. Justine also works casual shifts in RHW ACC keeping abreast with clinical nursing.
In addition to her clinical work, she is active in ongoing clinical research with UNSW identifying screening methods for Gestational Diabetes.
Justine has a Bachelor of Nursing at Charles Sturt University and also a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management from UTS. She also holds current registrations from
AHPRA Nurses & Midwife Board NSW,
Australian Diabetes Education Association ADEA,
Australian Diabetes in Pregnancy society ADIPS.
Justine provides education sessions to other health care professionals and provides support and education sessions to people with diabetes and their families.
Justine is an active member & secretary of the Diabetes in Pregnancy SIG (Special Interest Group) ADEA,
And recently received The Royal Nurse of the year award 2018
