Referrals - Exercise Physiologist

Although you do not need a medical referral to see our exercise physiologists, we encourage clients to integrate their health care and believe working closely with the other members of their health team ensures an integrated approach and therefore optimal care of our clients.

If your appointments are to be paid by a 3rd party (eg. WorkCover, NDIS or DVA) you will require a referral from your GP, specialist. If you qualify for a Medicare Enhanced Primary Care plan and have a team care arrangement from your GP you may qualify for a Medicare rebate for your consultations. If you have Diabetes, you can also discuss with your GP a special referral to access Medicare rebates for an inititial consultation and group classes.

NuActive Health Exercise Physiologists have over 300 health professionals who refer to health professionals, including GP’s, cardiologists, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, geriatricians, gynaecologists, obesity surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, paediatricians, psychiatrists, pulmonary specialists and sports physicians.
